Down by the sea shore
The sapphire water sparkles as I walk towards it 
My legs lagging behind as I run through the sand 
The waves roar like a lion 
I get a bitter feeling as get near the water
Above my head I hear screeching seagulls 
The dolphins glide through the water 
Suddenly I get whiff of sea salt

Simple Machines

This week we have been learning about Simple Machines. The six simple machines are screw, wedge, inclined plane, wheel and axle, lever and pulley. I knew what they were but I didn't know how they worked. I found the simple machines really easy to learn. I found it really hard to talk about them and fill in the word search.

Week 2 Silent Reading

    Fiction - read a short novel. Write a paragraph about your favourite part.

1. The stone of fire (Geronimo Stilton)

My favourite part of the book was when they went in the
subwaysaurus which is a dinosaur that moves in an underground
riverbed and that is their subway.

Week 2 Silent Reading

Magazine - read at least three articles from within a magazine.
Write a paragraph about your thoughts about your favourite part.

4. was Kakapo because I found it really interesting
5. reading about the Kakapo. I was really surprised
6. when it said that a mother kakapo accidentally crushed
7. her egg and then the chick survived.
