Vexx Artwork

WALT: Develop ideas by developing and revisiting visual ideas, in response to examples we have seen, and ideas that we can think of for ourselves. Learning Challenge:  Create a series of pencil or pen drawn faces using the hints from Vexx’s video. 

Technology At Home

Today I made snail sandwitches
The ingredients I used were:


1. Grapes ( For the eyes)
2. Kebab Sticks ( For the eyes to sit onto)
3. Ham and Cheese (For the filling)
4. Bread (For the ham and cheese to go in)







Healthiness 1.5 marks
Bread, Grapes and cheese in small amounts are healthy 
Under the food pyramid bread and cheese are in the eat some group. Ham is in the eat less group. 

Cost 2 marks
Loaf of bread $2 
16 slices, only used 1 slice, divided by 16 = $0.12
block of cheese $9 
20 slices in a block, divided by 20 = $0.45
Ham 10 slices $4 
divided by 10 = $0.40
Cost of sandwich =  $0.97
Sandwich cost less than 1 dollar

Presentation 2 marks
The sandwich was made into cute little snails. It looked good. Other people in my house wanted to eat them because they looked good and yummy.

Handling 2 marks
They are small so they can be picked up easy. They can be eaten in one bite but don't forget to take the tooth picks out.

Taste 2 marks
Ham and cheese is my favourite sandwich filling, they taste good together and the grapes were nice and sweet to finish.

Overall Mark: 9.5/10

Scared Face

Today we got to choose which face we did.
I chose to do a scard face. I was really fun to
draw and easy to do.

Mountain Spring

I like how all of the clouds/fog are all around the page
instead of in one spot. I think it is really cool that he mostly paints his rainbows in the middle of the
page and also there is a waterfall and at the bottom and
at the bottom of the waterful there is a rainbow. 

Twilight Mist

I like how this artwork is set in the mountains
and how there is the lake. I like how the rainbow 

is right through the  middle of the page instead of 

on the side or down the page.

Pool Of Light

I like how in the pool of light the it is extremely colourful 

With waterfalls, trees, mountains, clouds and snow.

I like this one because the colours are mixed together.

Cooking At Home

Today I baked yoyos for
me and my family. We
doubled the recipe so that
there were more yoyos for
everyone.

Leaf Venation

Yesterday my class and I went up the Karoro School bush track to examine the different shapes, sizes and outlines. We got to choose a buddy and I chose Billie. Billie and I chose to look for the venation in the leaf. We got to walk up to the top of the bush track to examine all of the leafs. Ventation means the shape of the vein inside the leaf.
